The World Bank's Robert S. McNamara Fellowship Program  is now accepting applications for research grants of up to $25,000 each from PhD candidates from developing countries, with a deadline of July 31, 2013. This Program helps fellows advance their doctoral research work through a residency period of five to ten months in a host institution in a country other than their home country or country of residence. Target groups are persons from the highest quality institutions among universities, research centers and relevant professional networks since only 15 grants are awarded per year.

The UN-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) is pleased to announce that we will be coming to Vietnam  in June and July 2013 in order to provide an informative seminar on a Full MA Scholarship programme for 2014-2015 that we have for young professionals from Asia entitled, the 'Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship' (APS).  The South East Asian region is of great priority for the programme and we have special spaces allocated for qualified professionals from Vietnam.
 
The Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship (APS), a dual Campus Master of Arts Programme, is a shared initiative of The Nippon Foundation, the United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) and Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU). The objective of the programme is to train 30 young Asian professionals each year to become peace-building practitioners, ready to take up leading positions in international organizations. The APS covers full tuition, airfare, transit and some visa costs for all programme components.  A monthly stipend of 700 USD is provided to students throughout the duration of the programme.

The Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS) is awarded to international students wishing to undertake graduate research degree studies at the University of Melbourne. MIRSs are funded by the University with each faculty having a limited number to award. Each year the University offers about 200 new Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRSs), of which about 150 are normally awarded to international students as MIRSs.

Ghent University provides Master Grants to candidates from developing countries who wish to obtain a master's degree at Ghent University. The grants are available for 19 master programmes at Ghent University. They are awarded for the duration of the studies with a maximum of 2 years. In case of a two-year-programme the scholarship will only be paid for the full term if the student successfully completes the first year of the programme. The scholarship consists of an allowance of 1000 euro per month, an installation fee of 500€ and a refund of the yearly tuition fee with a maximum of 80€.

Next deadline will probably be December 2013 (new students) and May 2014 (students with admission).

To facilitate access to Master's degrees by students with qualifications from foreign universities, the University of Lausanne makes available around ten Master's grants which are awarded on a competitive basis.

Required conditions
 
•The candidate must be the holder of a degree from a foreign university.
•The qualification held by the candidate must be deemed equivalent to the UNIL Bachelor's degree.

To encourage women's economic empowerment, the Vietnam Women Union, the World Bank in Vietnam and UN Women co-organize the Women's Innovation Day, which will consist of 2 main activities: 1) Showcase the most innovative products by women in the course of economic development and 2) Identify and provide seed-money to the most feasible and innovative ideas in promoting women's economic empowerment. In addition, a series of seminars/discussions will be held to engage policy-makers and a wide range of leading figures in the development community and private sector to share their experiences. The New Zealand Government, through the New Zealand Aid Programme, provides full scholarships for qualified students from Vietnam to undertake studies at a university in New Zealand.
 
Successful applicants are entitled to return air travel, full tuition fees, establishment allowance, a living allowance to cover day to day costs, reunion airfare for unaccompanied awardees.

Macquarie University International Scholarship is a Full Scholarship for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies.

The MUIS is available across most courses to cover a range of full international tuition fees for study on campus at North Ryde in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

The MUIS Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships do NOT provide financial support in the form of a living allowance, nor does it provide for the cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study. This scholarship is not available to students studying at Macquarie City Campus or the Sydney Institute of Business & Technology (SIBT).

Annual renewal of the MUIS Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship is subject to satisfactory performance in the Macquarie University degree program.

Applicants must:

- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 
- Have met the University's academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a full offer of admission or package offer for North Ryde by the application deadline by the application deadline). 
- Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 92 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)
The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) 

NFP promote capacity building within organisations in 61 countries by providing training and education to mid-career professionals. The NFP is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation.

Master's degree programmes and Short courses: There are fellowships available for a selected number of master's degree programmes with a duration of between 12 and 24 months. A master's degree programme leads to a Dutch master's degree. In addition, there are fellowships available for a selected number of Short courses offered by Dutch institutions that provide professional training at post-secondary level. These courses have a duration of between two weeks and twelve months. The courses lead to a Dutch certificate or diploma.

PhD studies: There are fellowships available for PhD research with a maximum duration of four years. You are allowed to seek alternative sources of funding. At least a quarter of your research must take place in an NFP country.

The Dutch institutions have their own academic application deadlines which may change during the year. Before you apply always check the website of the institution to find out which academic application deadline applies for the course or study programme you are interested in.

The fellowship application deadline is 2 October 2012 (for short courses and PhD studies).
